SWRA MUFFLER STATEMENT

Due to the continuing loss of flying sites because of noise the SWRA adopts the maximum dB of 103 guideline. The SWRA recommends mufflers as a means to attain this dB.

The SWRA will not control or monitor the dB or muffler rules of the Individual clubs and will not get involved in the description of a muffler or the proper dB reading procedures of each individual club field.

Not all clubs may have a dB and/or a muffler rule. If a dB and/or mufflers are a requirement the controlling body of that club will mandate it. It will be up to that governing body of that club to set the procedures.  This information needs and will be stipulated when applying for an SWRA Endorsement and printed in the clubs flyers Advertising the event.
